Kaiden Walsh Obituary: The community is mourning a senseless death: Nebraska teen Kaiden Walsh, who was killed in a rollover crash in Sarpy County. A number of teens were in the vehicle at the time that the fatal rollover occurred; their car lost control, with a number being injured in the accident.
Kaiden had sustained injuries that were critical and life-threatening, and today his parents, Erika and Kevin Walsh, have now confirmed he, indeed, has tragically succumbed to his injuries.
“Our hearts are completely shattered as we share the devastating news of the loss of our beloved son Kaiden in a tragic car accident,” the Walsh family said. “Kaiden was more than just our son; he was the best brother, the greatest friend anyone could ever ask for, and the brightest light in our lives.”.
He is survived by siblings Lukas and Kallie. Family and friends are trying to bear this great loss. His death has torn his family members into shreds, for he was the most friendly, most affectionate, and most full-of-life person with whom every other person associated.
One of the teens injured was identified as Evan Marks, a childhood best friend of Kaiden’s. His parents, Erica and Rob Marks, said they were heartbroken but would stand with the Walsh family in these tragic circumstances.
We’ll get through this, Erika and Kevin. Evan made Kaiden promise to always be there for Kallie and Lukas. We will. We love you forever. Kaiden sweet boy, we love you from the bottom of our hearts, the Marks family wrote.
Erika Walsh wrote as we navigate this unimaginable loss, we find comfort in the memories we shared and the love that surrounds us. We are grateful for the outpouring of support from our family, friends, Kaidens best friends, and community during this difficult time.
A GoFundMe page has been set up in order to help the Walsh family get through this unbearable time. A fundraiser, organized by Kassidy Riekens from Papillion, NE, is almost to the goal of $10,000 with almost $7,000 raised so far, is asking for donations to help the family grieve.
