Middletown North High School head girls basketball coach Justin McGhee, 35, was taken into custody on Tuesday for his alleged sex crimes. He is also the high school’s assistant football coach. The 35-year-old coach has been charged with two counts: sexual assault by a supervisor of a victim between the age of 16 and 17 years old and endangering the welfare of a child by a caretaker. The Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office records show the charges.
McGhee has 12 years of high school coaching experience and is fast approaching his eighth year as head coach with the Middletown North girls’ basketball team. He coached his way to a career in young athlete development, and now he’s under arrest—something which shook the whole community of Middletown.
