OBlock Louie Death

OBlock Louie Death and Obituary Chicago IL: O’Block Louie, a prominent figure in the Chicago drill scene and a close friend of the late King Von, has lost his life. He reportedly died of an apparent overdose, and now the O’Block community and the Chicago rap scene mourn. This adds to the continuous losses that have been experienced within the drill music community, with violence and tragedy taking so many young artists and associates over the years.

Louie was a well-respected member of O’Block, a neighborhood in Chicago’s South Side that’s really close to the rap scene and has nurtured stars like Chief Keef, Lil Durk, and King Von. His reputation wasn’t limited to music; he was well respected for being loyal and always sticking by King Von’s side. Louie was shot in the head on November 6th, 2020—the same tragic night that King Von passed away in Atlanta. Reports from outside also suggest he had been shot by the police during the altercation and again, miraculously survived with strength and resilience.

Despite his survival, Louie was no stranger to adversity. He wasn’t even charged until last year for the 2020 shooting that left Quando Rondo’s friend Lul Tim with a colostomy bag. The events of that night would forever mark his story, binding him to one of the most pivotal moments in modern drill history.

News of Louie’s passing sent shockwaves through the Chicago rap world and beyond. Friends, fans, and fellow O’Block members took to social media to mourn, paying tribute to his legacy and the impact he made on their community. Many recall his deep bond with King Von—how their brotherhood was in plain sight through all of their years together.
