Morte Bispa Keila Ferreira: Bispa Keila Ferreira, a highly respected leader of the Assembleia de Deus do Brás and wife of Bispo Samuel Ferreira, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at the age of 52. Her sudden death has shocked church members and leaders throughout Brazil because she was so well known as a strong pillar and great inspiration in the evangelical community.

Keila Ferreira was born on April 3, 1972, in Campinas, São Paulo. She consecrated her life to faith and ministry. Keila graduated from Universidade Paulista with a degree in Law and later underwent theological studies at Instituto Bíblico Ebenezer. She was an active member of the Assembleia de Deus and held important functions within the church—most notably, the Culto de Mulheres, in which thousands of women were spiritually ministered to and empowered. Married to Bishop Samuel Ferreira for 34 years, Keila helped spread the church’s outreach programs. Together, they built one of the most influential evangelical institutions in Brazil. Their children are Pastor Manoel Ferreira Neto and evangelist Marinna Ferreira. Those children continue the mission of their parents, continuing their legacy of faith and service.

Her passing has provoked an outpouring of condolences from religious leaders, political figures, and the greater evangelical community. The famous gospel singer Vanilda Bordieri referred to Keila as a mentor and friend and stated that the big empty space she leaves can never be filled. Worship leader Samuel Messias echoed this feeling when he said, “Your legacy of faith, love, and dedication to the work of God will remain alive in the hearts of all those who were touched by your ministry.” Reaction from Senator Damares Alves: “My heart broke.” Gospel singers Elaine de Jesus and Shirley Carvalhaes are a few of the popular names in this list who recognized Keila’s devotion to faith and community.

Reports say Keila Ferreira died of complications possibly resulting from a heart problem. Her last public appearance was in November 2024, at the church headquarters. Her funeral arrangements have been set by the Assembleia de Deus do Brás, with thousands expected to attend and pay their respects.

Keila Ferreira’s influence extended beyond the church walls. She was a strong advocate for social causes, spearheading projects that assisted the needy and empowered women. Her contribution to faith-based initiatives and community welfare has left an indelible mark. Although she is gone, there remains a legacy whose existence touches the lives of countless people. Her vision and works of the Assembleia de Deus do Brás will continue to minister and extend their social works. While there may be mourning from the congregation, they remember a life dedicated to faith, service, and compassion.

Her unwavering dedication is like a guiding star to future generations, ensuring her impact will resound for many years to come.
